Job Title: Operations Intern
PHYTunes is actively seeking to engage an intern situated in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This intern will play an integral role in collaborative efforts with esteemed partners and prospective collaborators to meticulously formulate cutting-edge technological strategies aimed at facilitating the seamless integration of PHYTunes’ world-renowned networking solutions within the domain of government agencies. This endeavor is underpinned by a keen focus on the forthcoming advancements in 5G and 6G networking technologies, thus ensuring that PHYTunes remains at the vanguard of innovation.
Responsibilities
- Support projects focusing on problem-solving, quality, thorough and timely delivery, relationship management, and customer satisfaction.
- Research and analyze stakeholders, policies, and positions and distill them into messaging and communications that advance PHYTunes business.
- Support customer- and public-ready content development across a broad range of research. This could include policy papers and briefs, blog posts, tweets, media materials, video scripts, etc.
- Contribute to meeting-related logistics preparation and execution.
- Support business development efforts through research.
- Other tasks and expectations as assigned.

- Experience researching, analyzing, and distilling complex topics.

Job Title: R&D FPGA Engineer
Responsibilities for this position include but not limited to:
- Define FPGA architecture, conduct fixed-point simulations, synthesis, timing closure for the 5G/Wi-Fi prototypes and products
- Development and implementation of various digital signal processing algorithms on FPGA and help build the product.
- Work with hardware firmware design service firm to help with design/implementation/testing of the 5G/Wi-Fi based products
- Reviewing various algorithms developed in MATLAB for porting onto the FPGA, analyze the resource consumption and other timing related aspects for implementation
Qualifications
- MS or PhD (EE), work experience in the communication industry is a plus
- Understand the fundamentals of Signal Processing and Digital Communications
- Experience in working with Xilinx FPGA’s and using FPGA Programming tools like Vivado.
- Highly motivated individual with positive outlook to be able to make an impact in the startup environment

Job Title: R&D RF Systems Engineer
Responsibilities for this position include but not limited to:
- Design and build 5G and Wi-Fi related products and support the RF system related activities inside the start up.
- Support PHY Layer algorithm design and bit-true verification with the digital design.
- Devise and construct suitable experiments to verify the physical layer metrics like spectrum mask, packet error rate, interference rejection.
Qualifications
- MS or PhD (EE), work experience in the telecommunication industry is a plus
- Understand the fundamentals of Signal Processing and Digital Communications
- Experience in working with any MediaTek/MaxLinear RFIC is a plus

- Strong fundamentals in Wireless Communication Theory with Hands-on experience DSP algorithm design and implementation of 3GPP (4G and 5G) PHY signal processing algorithms
- Familiar with design and development of digital HW modules on FPGA/ASIC is a plus
